David W. Silverstein, DDS
Dr. Silverstein was attracted to dentistry because it allows him to have a positive impact on others' lives through professional artistry and personal service. He seeks to treat his patients with compassion and tenderness and enjoys helping people overcome their understandable dental fears. Dr. Silverstein aims to create a comfortable atmosphere for comprehensive oral healthcare, from extractions to whitening. Dave values the opportunity to help everyone get the smile they have always wanted and show them how pleasant a dental experience can truly be!
Experience
After growing up in the Kansas City area, Dr. Silverstein attended Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where he enjoyed four years on the rowing team and earned two degrees in Neuroscience and Biology. He discovered his passion for dentistry in 2010 and graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry with honors in Oral Surgery. He went on to complete a General Practice Residency at the Truman Medical Center, also located in Kansas City. Dr. Silverstein has continued to develop his clinical skills by completing advanced courses in Cosmetics, Endodontics, and Oral Surgery.
Dr. Silverstein currently lives south of Lee's Summit with his wife, Caitlin, and their black Labrador, Huey. When he isn't practicing dentistry, he can be found near a meat smoker, pulling weeds in the garden, or fishing on the lake. He also enjoys playing guitar, sailing, SCUBA diving, and woodworking. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Silverstein is passionate about environmental sustainability and reducing his carbon footprint.
